List Notes: Data is the top 5 countries with the highest percentage of underweight children under the age of 5 years. Underweight means weight-for-age is approximately 2 kg below for standard at age one, 3 kg below standard for ages two and three, and 4 kg below standard for ages four and five. Percentage of population undernourished is total number of undernourished people for the years 2012 to 2014 (adults and children). The words "hunger" and "undernourishment" can be used interchangeably.
