"World Happiness Report 2015".
List Notes: Data is the top 5 happiest countries in the world for the year 2015 according to the World Happiness Report. The report measures well-being in countries around the world by gallop poll and the rankings are based on answers to the
main life evaluation question asked in the poll. This is called the Cantril ladder: it asks
respondents to think of a ladder, with the best possible life for them being a 10, and the worst
possible life being a 0. They are then asked to rate their own current lives on that 0 to 10 scale. The report also considers six factors in the happiness ranking: GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, generosity, perceptions of corruption and dystopia.
